The food was absolutely exceptional and the evening entertainment included cabaret dancers that danced along a runway in the middle of the restaurant. It had such a good vibe and drinks were 241 before 7.00pm which was perfect timing for us as we booked our table for 6.00pm! (We had £100 worth of prosecco between us!!!)
I brought along my camera as I knew this place was somewhere to blog about and got some lovely shots of the place and some of the food we had....
To start I had the lobster and prawn sesame toast, and damn it was delicious. I can't explain how heavenly it was. It was like taking your average prawn toast from the Chinese takeaway and sprinkling it with gold dust.
For the main it was a no brainier for me, of course I was going to pick the truffle and mushroom risotto. It was incredible and so so rich. It did get a little bit much towards the end but I would definitely get it again.
My friend Sarah got the seabass which I had a mouthful of and fully enjoyed. The Edamame dip it came with was too good for words. We both enjoyed each other's so much that we decided we would swap next time!
For desert we couldn't chose so shared three between the five of us. The first was a homemade Fererro Rosher tart which was really lovely, but very rich as it was mainly dark chocolate. I wouldn't have been able to finish it off myself but it was great to nibble on!
We also went for the mango, passionfruit and coconut meringue which I didn't try but word is it was incredible and definitely looked the part.
Last but not least was my personal favourite desert - marshmallow doughnuts. What a treat they were. Unbelievable. 10/10. They were both topped and filled with marshmallow fluff and hot chocolate sauce. If that isn't a winner then I don't know what is!
Take a look at Menagerie's website for more beautiful pictures and a full menu to drool at! If you live in the Manchester area I definitely recommend going. Remember to get there before 7.00pm to get 241 drinks as they can be pricey!
Have you been to Menagerie before? If so, let me know what you thought!
