Midi & Monochrome

There is only one thing I am loving more than midi skirts at the moment – the weather! It isn’t often that us mancunians get sunny weather, this means we are obviously going to make the most of it, and I can guarantee you that as soon as I walk out of my front door everyone in sight will practically be naked (we get excited). This outfit was taken yesterday so I am a little gutted I missed the chance to photograph it in the lovely sunshine we have got going on here!

This midi skirt, I instantly fell in love with! The material is so gorgeous and textured, and holds the skirts lovely structured shape. It is a little pricey at £45 but in my opinion it is a skirt you can get a lot of wear out of through each season. I have taken a casual approach on this feminine skirt; when I first bought it, like most people would, I instantly thought of how I could glam it up (I will save that idea for another day!), but I thought I’d try it out in a day to day kind of look.

I am actually really surprised this holographic backpack hasn’t made it’s way onto my blog yet, I recieved it as a gift at christmas – which was 5 months ago!! I love it so much and I wear it all the time. It isn’t for everybody though, my mum and my sister hate it and I have nicknamed it the ‘ET bag’ because it kind of reminds me of a bag that an alien would wear. I have seen some g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s shoes from Pretty Little Thing that would go perfectly with it – as I thought my Mum and sister hate them too, you can find them here if you want to have a nosey! I really want to purchase them, but with enough shoes to last me a lifetime already and the fact I always seem to go for the same 2 pairs means I really should be sensible….

I hope you enjoy my post and pictures!
